Santa couldn't make it. He kept dying on the second screen.
(He doesn't have Booster v2.0.)
Well, that's Curly, Quote, and a Bute... I can't say this was a quick one, as I worked on it for an appreciable portion of the day. And Curly, Quote and the Bute were more or less traced from magnified original sprites.
In the process of doing this, I realised the version of Sacred Grounds in my version of Cave Story is different from the Sacred Grounds that appears in the Let's Play clips I used for reference. I wonder why?
This looks so much better in my head. Wish it turned out the way I wanted it to - all the more reason to keep practicing, I suppose. The original idea would have had a christmas tree with a Daleet for a star and Rollings as decorations, and a Mesa too.
Still, I wanted this done... well... THIS Christmas.
